After the US Civil War, Confederate Captain Cain retires to a quiet life with his family. But his men have turned to murder, torture and robbery. They try to get him to join them but he refuses. They murder his family and, swearing vengeance, Cain teams up with a preacher/bounty hunter to track them down.
